Certified Aussie AI Artist
Certification identifies Australian creators who demonstrate genuine creative practice, meaningful human direction, transparent AI use and respect for other creators’ rights.
Certification level
A reviewed designation for creators who meet the association’s current evidence, practice, disclosure and conduct standards.
Current review process
- Create and publish a Community Artist profile.
- Describe your creative discipline, AI tools, human contribution and disclosure practice.
- Provide a public portfolio or evidence link. YouTube or another public process/output video is strongly preferred and normally expected for music and video creators.
- Submit a short statement confirming that your work is yours to publish, collaborators are credited and material is used with appropriate rights or licences.
- An administrator reviews the public body of work, presentation, disclosure and obvious rights concerns.
- The application is certified, returned for changes or declined. Certification can later be suspended if standards are breached.
What certification is not
It is not government accreditation, legal clearance, copyright registration, a guarantee of quality or proof that every element of every work is non-infringing.
Creative standard
Certification is intended for true creators using AI as a tool within a deliberate process. Bulk output alone is not a body of work. Review favours curation, development, consistency, public accountability and evidence of meaningful human choices.
Static-image and non-video artists
Visual artists are not excluded merely because their final work is static. A credible public portfolio may be accepted, although process videos, screen captures, narrated breakdowns or other evidence make review stronger. Audio and video applicants should ordinarily provide a public video presence.
