Community Guidelines
What this community stands for
Aussie AI Artists supports creators who use AI as part of a genuine creative process. We value human direction, experimentation, skill development, honest disclosure, consent, licensing, attribution and respect for other creators.
True creativity, not content sludge
This is not a dumping ground for endless low-effort output. Members should curate their work, develop ideas, make deliberate creative choices and present material they are prepared to stand behind. Quantity does not prove creativity. Certification favours a visible, consistent creative practice over bulk generation.
Credit and rights
Credit human collaborators, performers, source material and licensed assets where appropriate. Do not steal, trace, clone or imitate another creator deceptively. Do not claim an unlicensed voice, likeness, performance or composition as your own. “The AI made it” is not an excuse for infringement or harm.
AI transparency
Be honest about meaningful AI involvement. Members do not need to publish every prompt or technical detail, but must not deliberately mislead people about who performed, wrote, illustrated, recorded or created material.
Constructive disagreement
Debate about AI, copyright and culture is welcome. Personal abuse, dogpiling, threats, discriminatory conduct and targeted harassment are not. Criticise ideas and practices without dehumanising people.
Certification conduct
Do not display a certified badge unless the profile is currently certified. Do not describe certification as government approval, legal clearance, copyright registration or a guarantee of quality. Report suspected misuse of certification through the contact or moderation tools.
News and advocacy
Members may help research policy, prepare submissions, organise campaigns and share current news. Evidence should be linked, quotes should be accurate, corrections should be made openly, and association statements should be clearly distinguished from personal opinion.
Safety
Illegal and restricted content, child sexual exploitation material, sexualised depictions of minors, credible threats, doxxing and severe abuse are prohibited. Serious matters may be preserved and reported to appropriate services or authorities.
Enforcement
Responses may include guidance, requested edits, warnings, content removal, loss of posting or messaging access, certification suspension, account suspension or removal. Decisions consider context, pattern, severity, safety and willingness to correct problems.
